Designing Posi-Joists®
Posi-Joist layouts are created, engineered and costed using the MiTek 20/20 software suite.  There are a number of different steps in the process which are broken down below:
Step 1
In the MiTek Business Application (MBA) the user creates a job and enters the customer name and the site details.  From MBA the user then runs the MiTek 20/20 Layout program.
Step 2
In MiTek 20/20 Layout the walls are now entered and the Posi-Joists layed out as required.  At this stage the user can define end details and interior details that are required in the joists.
Step 3
Once the layout of the Posi-Joists is complete the joists are transferred to the MiTek 20/20 Engineering package where they are designed in accordance with the latest design codes.  The Posi-Strut webbing patterns can either be automatically positioned or the user can position them manually.
Step 4
Having designed the Posi-Joists the system now automatically takes off any sundry items that you may want to include in your quotation such as strong-back bracing.  The costs and selling prices of the various Posi-Joists are then calculated and a quotation can be printed.
