Snowdrift is an application, which helps you to determine the design loads according to the National Building Code of Canada 1995 (Limits States Design).
The first section of the program contains the list of ground snow loads and rain loads for all the Canadian provinces and territories as listed in the National Building Code of Canada. For the province of Quebec, this list is extending to more than 400 municipalities. There is even the ability to use your own imperial or metric load values.
The central section gives you the result according to the rules of TPIC. These results will be used for the analysis loading in your roof truss software.
The last section helps you to determine the accumulations of snow caused by an adjacent building respecting the rules of the NBCC.
