New Plate Repair Tool
For situations when loading changes occur, the second automated plywood repair feature will allow truss plate designs to be held fixed, and if necessary, supplement the original plates with plywood gussets.
Example: You have a set of floor trusses that were originally designed and built for 10psf top chord dead load. There is a design change, and the trusses need to be designed for 20psf top chord dead load.
1) Turn on the hold plates function.
2) Modify the loading.
3) Run structure analysis (Fixed Member Grades) on the truss.
4) The pop-up window "Gusset Repair for Overstressed Plates" will come up, and will allow you to select the plywood material you want to use for the repair.
5) When you close out of the pop-up window, the program will automatically calculate a repair with the selected plywood.
If the plywood material selected is insufficient for any of the plywood repair tool's functions, then the user may choose a different plywood thickness, or use the "Auto-Repair" function for the program to determine the proper repair plywood material for you.
